THE VIRTUAL ART - BOOK & MAP FAIR

Welcome to THE VIRTUAL ART - BOOK & MAP FAIR

I, Robert Putman, became an antiquarian when I started in February 1976 an antiquarian book, map, print and instrument store in the back of the imposing New Church on the Dam, the very center of Amsterdam on a mere sixty steps distance from the site where once the printing presses of the famous Blaeu Publishing House were standing. The business became virtual when I opened on the 1st of October 2008 The VIRTUAL ANTIQUE & RARE ART - BOOK & MAP FAIR which now exists 10 years. All together the fair has been visited 2,7 million times in this period. In general, each day, at any time of the day, around 50 visits are made. On December 1st, the 61st edition starts, which will continue till January 31st, 1919. Participation in the Fair enables dealers to offer their material to the Fair's visitors.
